We have to get out now.

I watched Al Maliki on bbc today say that the Iraqi people will decide when the foriegn troops pull out, and it will be soon. With the info on Cheney's "broken arrow" coming out, and an answer, finally, to why the hell the neo-cons dragged us into that mess, I think it's feasable for us to pull out and perhaps divert our international "peacekeeping efforts" to places where they are desperately needed, (not that they aren't in the middle east, but our attentions are entirely in the wrong places and our intentions have perverted this "mission" beyond belief.)

The clashes pitting Ethiopian and Somali forces against clan militia and insurgents wounded more than 4,300, said the committee's report obtained by Reuters on Tuesday.

The March 29-April 1 battles prompted 1.4 million to flee their homes in the Somali capital, home to 2.4 million people.

KHARTOUM, April 10 (Reuters) - Sudan and Chad traded threats and accusations on Tuesday over cross-border attacks, cranking up tensions on their already violence-torn common frontier.

The Sudanese government promised a firm response, including possible military action, to what it said was a Chadian army attack on Monday that killed 17 of its soldiers.

While Chad denied any deliberate assault on its eastern neighbour, it acknowledged its forces had clashed with Sudanese troops after crossing the border to pursue Sudanese-backed rebels it said were launching raids.

--------
Our only option as a country, if we wish to avoid the decline and downfall that seems so inevitable, is for us to start using our resources more wisely, and helping where we can for as long as we can.

I for one, do not feel comfortable watching Africa die.
The Middle East, regardless of its problems, has a lot of money headed to it.

Not Africa.
Whatever our incursion into the middle east may have lost us as a world power, our mission as a country must be one of goodwill in the future, if we want to hold our heads up again.and wash this blood from our hands
