Marry someone who agrees with you politically.

Just wrote a long version of this, only to have it sucked away by loss of an internet connection, but the gist is this :

Speaking with a quietly liberal southern nurse after my operation while sucking on ice chips like nipples, I had an epiphany. yea, it could have been the morphine, but hear me out.

Don't marry someone who has opposing political viewpoints from you, even if the sex is great, and the babies are cute, you are doing inoperable damage to our democracy by negating you opinion and agenda for the rest of your life. unless you meet someone who is truly o.k. with you doing your own thing politically, it will only cause misery for the relationship and it will not help our country move forward.

Two people who have the same vision for the future and are willing to share and spend time together working towards it can have a tremendous impact on thier local society, and can have
great impact on society at large, as well as being a good example to others. Speaking to the cute nurses here in joplin, i've come to realize that when you marry someone with opposing political views, you essentially silence yourself for life.

Don't do it. Find a mate whom you can work together to make the whole world a better place, in your opinion, not just someone who likes biking, procreation, and chocolate.

We are a selfish, but hardworking nation. Most of the people I talk to just don't think politics are important enough to make time for after a hectic work week and most simply want to relax after work is done, build thier little castles and breed. Well, i am sympathetic, but if you think about it, this attitude is toxic for democracy.

Behind every good man is a better woman.
Behind every good women there are 30 guys waiting for thier shot, don't force it, wait for the person who will fufill your ambitions to see the world and our country turn into the place you want it to be.

Talking politics is a great relationship builder, much better than hospital heej's, and it accomplishes something more than the simple left foot right foot work a day mentality we are all slaves to. Do yourself a favor and find someone who shares your passions, so that they can only intensify.

The other, unsaved version of this was better, but cest lavee.

damn explorer.
