Collective Unconcious report

So, friends and I have been trying to rationalize our current existence lately, postulating that, at best, we have entered some sort of wormhole wherein we are actually existing in an alternate universe. Because truly that makes the most sense at this point. But honestly, what I believe is happening is a subversion of the mass unconscious of our country. The majority of the country did not vote for this administration, and its actions are unmistakably damaging to the fabric of the country the majority of Americans have painstakingly built and believed in. America will not revert, it will not walk back on it's progress no matter who is in office. But she might not get a chance to prove because the world is a dangerous place, and a loose cannon billionaire tv star has no right to hold the office that protects her. Since 9/11 we've been at war, not with ISIS or AlQueda(look how threatening they turned out to be.) but with a world that wants to segment itself, into factions and religions and ideologies. And thats an affront to the US because we've attempted to prove how powerful the idea of the "melting pot" is, and some of us believe it's the truth. We used to have a big tent, and it was a tent everyone wanted to shelter themselves under. Now we have one of those tiny tiny umbrellas that can only keep the elements from one or two at most. And only if they have the proper identification. We are not saints, and we elect politicians to act for us because we are too busy to, but collectively we want progress and humanity. So my apologies to the world, that we could not muster the strength to continue the proper arc of history, and instead ended up completely blowing our chance to push history toward humanity and not barbarism. and that realization is a shock to any decent American, and a call to arms.
